Credit Bureaus

Definition: 
The three financial analysis institutions, Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion. Also referred to as credit reporting agencies, they are in the business of collecting, storing, and disseminating consumer credit information at the request of governments, private lending institutions, and consumers.
